Id love a version of Grindledore where muggle hate isn’t a part of it rather its dark magic. I just would love to see dark magic more explored also I think that would have differed Grindlewald for Voldemort.

Have Dumbledore be really into dark magic which is a shock.

Happy birthday to the actors (Jamie Campbell Bower + Mads Mikkelsen) who played my favorite war crimer comiter (Gellert Grindelwald).

Wuxian responds, "What if I refuse to answer?" He smiles.ALT
Wangji is clearly angry and he takes a step towards Wuxian. Wuxian quickly takes a step back.ALT

Wuxian pouts, "Confronting me with so many questions is not proper."ALT
Wuxian says, "It's been months since we split up in the cave of Tortoise of Slaughter. Even if you don't cherish our relationship as classmates, you shouldn't be so ruthless."ALT

Wuxian says, "I can't explain it in just a few words."ALT
Wangji says, "Then return to Gusu with me and explain it clearly."ALT

Wuxian says, "Even if those are wicked tricks, I know myself, and I know whether it will hurt me or not."ALT

gen z has to reckon with its radicalization problem. you are not a morally pure and superior generation of youth come to save the world, your men and boys are radicalized at an unprecedented level and you ignore it because it’s too hard to address but you have to. these boys are in your classes, they date your friends, you know them and you cannot continue to pretend this is an “old white guy” problem

girls are contributing, too. the coquette aesthetic, the “i don’t want to girlboss i want a man to pay my bills”, girlmath girljob girlmoney. it’s a joke, it’s clothes, it’s whatever, i get it but it is driving a mentality of traditional gender roles and you know you’re joking but your boyfriend doesn’t. your kid brother doesn’t. you have to stop this shit it is a contributing factor

One thing I really hate about the untamed fandom is the complete disregard for the politics of the story and the context and culture it’s written in like no wonder the fanfic is so god awful y’all don’t care about the setting and worldbuilding that informs the characters actions - like why watch a show or read a book sent in fantasy historical China if you don’t like how fantasy historical Chinese characters act - like the politics is so interesting in the way it constrains and bounds the characters actions especially Jiang Cheng and Jin Guangyao and how it shows how characters that resist that mold (no matter how heroic or well intentioned) fail and die horribly (Wei Wuxian). Like y’all can praise him all you want for how good his intentions are (and they were good) but he did fail (because he completely went against the grain and believed his righteousness would be enough - and also was in the lowest point of his life emotionally and physically) and the Wen Remnants and Wen Qing all died horrible deaths and that matters! And characters that used the system and bid their time and worked behind the scenes (Jiang Cheng and Jin Guangyao) made something of themselves and their sects and they did good for a while and yet they still suffered!!! And characters that were passive and did nothing and let the events unfold (Lan Wangji pre time skip and Lan Xichen) still suffered!!! For very particular reasons related to the way the world they live in functions. It’s a tragedy not a lesson in morality and it’s also a story with a very particular setting which dooms these particular characters. The world they exist in matters for why they do what they do and trying to super impose your sense of morality on fictional characters to justify why you like them is so boring and frankly a terrible what to engage with fantasy. All these characters have sympathetic understandable traits and they all have flaws and hurt people and that’s why it’s a good story
